BeforeAfter
BeforeAfterÉbénisterie SAM is an RBQ-licensed general contractor and a cabinetry workshop founded 35 years ago. The company delivers turnkey renovations of kitchens, bathrooms, basements and plexes, custom furniture, cabinet refacing, stripping and wood-stair restoration in Montreal, Laval and the South Shore. The workshop is at 809, avenue Lajoie, Dorval; the office at 338, rue Lahaie, Saint-Eustache.
Our story
Ébénisterie SAM started as a workshop building kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Project after project, clients asked us to also take on demolition, plumbing, electrical and finishing. We obtained our general-contractor licence to offer a true turnkey service without giving up what sets us apart: building every cabinet and piece of millwork in our own workshop.
Today the company is still led by its founder, a master cabinetmaker, who oversees every project from the first sketch to the final inspection. Our cabinetmakers, carpenters and project leads work with certified trades we have known for years.
What we do
- Turnkey renovation: kitchens, bathrooms, basements, plexes and century homes
- Custom cabinetry: high-end kitchens, wall units, bookcases, commercial millwork
- Restoration and refacing: cabinet refacing, vanity resurfacing, stripping of woodwork and furniture
- Wood stairs: restoration of treads and railings, custom staircase design
Our Dorval workshop
All our cabinets, vanities and wall units are designed, machined and finished in Dorval, on the island of Montreal. We work with solid wood, veneer and high-density panels, quality hardware and low-VOC finishes. Clients can visit the workshop by appointment to see materials and finishes.
Licences, insurance and warranties
Ébénisterie SAM holds a general-contractor licence from the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) and liability insurance. Every quote states the labour warranty and the manufacturers' warranties on installed materials.
We work in French and English with homeowners, designers, architects and businesses across greater Montreal.
