BeforeAfterWhen a kitchen's cabinet boxes are sound, throwing them out is a waste. Refacing replaces the doors, drawer fronts, visible panels and hardware, and can include a new counter: the kitchen is transformed in a few days, with no demolition or plumbing.
Stripping reveals the original wood of cabinets, woodwork, doors and antique furniture in Montreal homes. We use low-VOC products and refinish the wood with durable varnishes.

Frequently asked questions about refacing and stripping
Why choose refacing over a new kitchen?
If the boxes are in good condition, refacing completely changes the look of the room (doors, counters, hardware) for about a third of the price of a renovation with demolition, in a few days and in a far more sustainable way.
How do I know if my boxes are suitable for refacing?
During the free visit we check the box structure, hinges, humidity and alignment. If the boxes are warped or water-damaged, we will honestly recommend new cabinets.
Is stripping eco-friendly?
We use low-VOC strippers and collect the residue. Restoring a piece or woodwork also avoids discarding sound wood, often of better quality than new.
