A solid-wood antique deserves better than a coat of paint. Our cabinetmakers remove damaged finishes, re-glue joints, replace missing elements (mouldings, feet, veneer) and apply a finish suited to the piece's era: oil, shellac, wax or varnish.

We also work on the built-in woodwork of century homes: fireplace mantels, panelling, panel doors, framed stained glass and stair railings.

What furniture restoration includes

  • Free diagnosis and estimate at the workshop or at home
  • Gentle stripping suited to the species and age of the piece
  • Repair of joints, veneer and missing parts
  • Traditional or modern finish depending on use
  • Pick-up and delivery across greater Montreal

Frequently asked questions about furniture restoration

Does restoring an antique reduce its value?

A respectful restoration (appropriate finish, reversible repairs) preserves the value of a family or period piece. We advise before acting and avoid modern finishes on collectible pieces.

Do you pick up the piece?

Yes, we handle round-trip transport across greater Montreal, or restore fixed elements on site.

Entrust us with your piece
